Welcome to Trueself Counselling

I’m Jessa, founder of Trueself Counselling.

I provide compassionate, trauma-informed counselling for adults, teens, and young adults across British Columbia. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, burnout, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or a significant life transition, therapy can provide a supportive space to slow down, gain clarity, and move forward with greater confidence.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I believe meaningful change begins when you feel truly heard, understood, and accepted. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen practical coping strategies, and create lasting change that aligns with your values and goals.

I am a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC-Provisional) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA #4638). I offer in-person counselling in Coquitlam, as well as secure online counselling for clients throughout British Columbia.

Direct Billing

Direct billing is available for select extended health insurance providers, depending on your coverage and plan eligibility. I am also in the process of adding Pacific Blue Cross to my list of accepted providers.

If direct billing is not available for your plan, payment can be made after your session, and you’ll receive a receipt to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

Getting Started

Choosing the right counsellor is an important step, and it’s essential to find someone you feel comfortable with. That’s why I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation for new clients. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, discuss your goals, and determine whether we’re a good fit before beginning therapy.
